Happy October, Friends! @swham1’s wife is having a baby in December, so he thought that their rescue baby EDIE needed some special attention before that happens.
Yesterday our Sally barked at Edie’s portrait, the first time in all these years that she’s done that. Maybe she looks like her mom?
October is my favorite month, let us all try to stay sane by giving some focus to the crisp light, blue skies and radiant foliage and encouraging our fellow citizens to vote in November!

Happy June! This is a birthday present for Andy Cohen who recently had to give his beloved dog Wacha to the people who cared for him when he was away. He wasn’t a great match for his young son. He said this about Wacha in a recent tweet “When I think of him – let’s be honest, when don’t I think of him – it’s with the clarity that we were meant to come into each other’s lives exactly when we did, and that he’s happy, which gives me peace of mind. We did rescue each other. Thank you, Wacha.” Wacha, 16″x16″, Oil on Canvas, 2020

Happy September Tropicale, Y’all! Summer’s not over until it’s over. Who cares what they say about grass skirts after Labor Day? This is my portrait of SCARLETT, Gena Smith Morgan’s sweet pooch, sister friend of MINGO.

Happy June! This is my recent Portrait of SCOUT the Kitty. Scout’s BFF @lizsteinglass was a very dear friend of mine at John Burroughs School, where I will be having a one person show in the Fall. Liz and I used to spend a lot of time in the painting studio, and shared a deep love for our painting teacher Joanna Collins. Liz’s husband @davidsteinglasscommissioned this portrait as a surprise for her. SURPRISE, LIZ!! And thanks, @danawheels , for the Hat.
