This is a portrait that I painted 6 (!) years ago for @karlgaj and Larissa Kokernot of their two boys Kade and Nick. I just saw them all a couple of weeks ago at a going away party in LA as the whole fam is moving to Minneapolis. Needless to say the two boys have changed a bit since I painted this. This is DOT the Westhighland Terrier, painted for someone who loves color. She reminds me of a Westie my neighbor’s had growing up named AJAX who always had a dirty face from digging tunnels.
